A Great Mix of Americana and Rock Music

The Shelter Road Band is headquartered in Wartburg, Tennessee, the musical capital of Morgan County, and is available to play shows in the east Tennessee area. We primarily play a great mix of covers and originals that fall between Americana and rock but will also throw in songs from other genres like country and alternative rock. To get a better idea of what we do, check out the Set List tab and listen to (and download for free) our originals under the Music tab.

The band plays establishments like bars and restaurants for minimal fees just to cover costs and enjoys playing community events like fall festivals, Relay For Life, and various fund raisers for free. Contact us to set up gigs, be added to our email announcement list for upcoming gigs, or for any other reason through our Contact tab.

The current Shelter Road Band line-up includes:

Dave Sill ("Sill" or Wildman Sill (even though he is perhaps the quietest/calmest one in the band)), bass
Dave Sylvester (Dave or Dave the Drummer or "The Man"), drums, guitar, vocals
Robert Stewart (Robert or Big Bob or Roberto), lead guitar, piano
Doug Freels (DUG "just like it sounds" or DougOut ), lead vocals, guitar

For more background about the band, see The Shelter Road Band Story.

Current favorite SRB Quote: "Well…we are recording."  -Dave Sylvester

2012-01-21 Brewskis Gig

The Brewskis gig was a success! Turnout was good, the band was on, and everyone had a good time. This was the first gig with Sill on bass, so he's relieved to have that behind him. See the Set List page for a pretty accurate list of the songs we played.

Thanks to everyone who made it!

Stay tuned for news about future gigs.
